Beaver Scouts are young boys and girls usually aged between 6 and 8 years old, making them the youngest section of the Scouting family.
Costessey Beavers enjoy making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.
Our Beaver Scout Leader is Jan who is supported by a group of amazing parent helpers and Young Leaders.
Most of the adventure happens each Monday evening between 5:30 and 6:45 through term time in our own headquarters which are located on Gunton Lane off Norwich Road, Costessey, Norwich. There’s a map and more details on how to get in touch on our Get Involved.
On some weekends we have overnight sleepovers and camps and also meet up with other Beavers from across the Northern Norwich Scout District for exciting trips and events.
We’re a really busy colony and you can find out what we’ve been up to by taking a look at the latest photos in our gallery or reading the latest news. You can also see what we’ve got planned soon on Programme page and find out more about the badges we earn and the uniform we wear here.
