Important safety notice

Important safety notice

We have recently heard concerns from parents and local residents regarding vehicles on the lane and at the hall.

Last night we monitored the Beaver – Cub 15 minute hand over and found people blocking driveways, blocking access along the lane, exceeding the strict 10mph speed limit and dropping children off without coming in the hall.

It is imperative, for the sake of continued good neighbourly relations and the safety of our members (your children), that we improve this immediately and would appreciate your co-operation in doing so.

How you can help

If the car park is full, please park along hedge/fence as marked in red in the photo below…

If this area is full, please then try to park considerately on the opposite side of the road alongside the grass verges, leaving access to driveways at all times.

Gunton Lane is a private road with a strict 10mph speed limit, please stick to it.

Lastly, you must walk your child into the hall when dropping off to check there are enough leaders present before leaving. Beavers starts at 5:30pm and Cubs at 7:00pm. There is no guarantee leaders will be present before those times.

We also overheard people commenting on the stones needing to be swept. If anybody would like to volunteer to do so, please let us know.

Thank you

If you have any queries or further concerns, please speak to a leader.

Thank you for understanding and in advance for your co-operation.
