Exciting Sainsbury’s Partnership

27th Norwich (New Costessey) Scout Group are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with our local Sainsbury’s store at Longwater Retail Park.

After being nominated to be a part of their outreach scheme, in July we were lucky to be invited to do a short “Dragon’s Den”-style pitch to the “Sainsbury’s Great Place to Work” panel all about our group, showing them what we do and telling them how we do it.

We received great feedback from the panel and a few short days passed before we heard the news that we had been selected by them to be their charity partner for the year!

We’ve already got lots planned with them, including in-store trips, fundraising events and visits from staff to our meeting nights and events. We have a working weekend planned when parents, leaders and Sainsbury’s staff will all come together to tackle our currently unloved grounds to bring them up to scratch.

So as you can see there’s lots of work to be done and with the help of Sainsbury’s Longwater we can bring the grounds back up to a standard we can be proud of once again ready for our Big 80th Birthday Bash celebration coming up later in the year.
