The Great Norwich Duck Race 2019

About the race

The Great Norwich Duck Race is a great event raising funds for Scouting and other charities with the Lord Mayor’s Celebrations.

This years’ funds will be split between local Scout Groups and The Feed, for people who have experienced homelessness, helping people access long term housing, training and employment.

The first 5 ducks over the finishing line will receive a cash prize presented by the Lord Mayor of Norwich and there’ll also be prizes in the Lord Mayor’s Lucky Dip!

How you can help

Each Beaver, Cub and Scout has been given a book of entry tickets which we’re asking you to sell to friends, family, neighbours, colleagues – anyone!

1. Entry costs £2 per duck (ticket).
2. Fill in the buyer’s details on the stub and then give them the right hand part of the ticket as their receipt.
3. Explain to the buyer that the number on their receipt is the number of their duck and tell them about the fantastic prizes on offer – a top prize of £1000!
4. If you would like any more books, just let us know.
5. Return all ticket stubs, money and any unsold tickets to us no later than 30th June 2019.

To say thank you, each Beaver, Cub or Scout that sells their whole book will be presented with the special badge, to be worn on their uniform in recognition.

Taking part in fundraising like this helps us keep monthly membership subscriptions among the lowest across Norfolk Scouts.
