Uniform & Badges

What do Scouts wear?

Scouts in New Costessey, like scouts everywhere, wear a uniform. All members of the group wear our distinctive green and white scarf with the appropriate sweater/shirt for their section.

Squirrel Scouts wear red sweaters, with turquoise for Beaver Scouts, and green for Cub Scouts. Members of the Scout section wear teal coloured shirts whilst Explorer Scouts have a mushroom coloured shirt and adult volunteers have a light beige shirt to wear.

Where can I buy?

You can buy all your uniform from the Norfolk Scout Shop, either in person or through their website at Norfolk Scout Shop or the separate national Scout Store website.

We do sometimes have second hand uniform available if needed and there is help available to anyone who needs it, just speak to a leader in confidence.

Group scarves are presented when a new member makes their promise and are provided free of charge by the group.

Badges are also free of charge and presented when they’ve been earned (usually in batches every so often).

Where do the badges go?

It’s easy to find out where all those hard-earned badges go, just have a look at the links below:
